Our Story
Dova International, LLC was founded in 1999 as a business designed to operate internationally given the multi-language capabilities and vast travel experiences of the founder in order to provide various language translation and interpretation services in numerous business settings. We now also offer these same services domestically.
We enable accurate and smooth communication between individuals who do not speak the same language.
We facilitate international sales, marketing, and business negotiations utilizing our language skills in order to serve clients abroad.
We provide language services to clients who are researching family history in various foreign countries where the documents need translation into their native tongue.
We provide language services to clients domestically in order to assist them with various types of translations and/or interpretations.
We are fluent in Spanish, Italian and English. We are moderately proficient in written Latin. We have moderate proficiency in conversational Portuguese and French and basic proficiency in conversational Russian.

Founder and President Jaime J. Vázquez Saldaña has an incredible talent for learning and retaining various languages. Growing up in Puerto Rico with Spanish, Belgian and French heritage, he was exposed to many languages at a young age which gave him the ability to develop his language proficiency.
He has over 30 years of experience interpreting, translating, negotiating and researching in English, Spanish, Italian, French, Latin and Portuguese. He recently spent 9 months learning conversational Russian.
He earned a Master’s degree in International Business Management in 1999, and has traveled the world conducting various business negotiations and engaging in numerous research projects utilizing his multiple languages.
Translations
We have been involved in translating documents in a professional setting since 1990.
We have translated medical documents including client cases, medical instructions, medical information and medical reports from Spanish, French and Italian into English and vice versa.
We have translated medical informational materials in a clinical setting from Spanish into English.
We have translated product information, contracts, purchase orders, and logistics from Spanish, Portuguese and Italian into English and vise versa.
We have translated election voter instructions from Spanish into English for a county government.
We have translated product information and scientific peer review journal articles from Spanish into English for a college professor.
Genealogical Research
Since 1992, we have conducted genealogical research in various countries & territories reading and translating documents written in Italian, Latin, French and Spanish into English.
We have assisted individuals conducting research of family records in Italy, France, Belgium and Puerto Rico.
Utilizing a number of on-line data bases we have researched various documents including birth, census, marriage and death records to build a cohesive family tree.
We have researched various documents at the National Archives including census records, immigration records and military records.
We have created extensive family trees spanning centuries for our clients using various on-line databases and computer based programs.
With our almost 30 years of genealogical research, we can easily assist you in your family records investigations.
INterpretations
Since 1990, we have been interpreting in various languages in a professional setting facilitating a myriad of business negotiations and also with patients engaged with their medical professional.
We have worked with medical personnel interpreting for their clients in clinical settings in Spanish.
We have worked in various business setting involved in business negotiations interpreting for clients in Spanish, Italian and French.
We have interpreted for clients and manufacturers conducting product training sessions in Spanish in both the USA and internationally.
We have traveled internationally developing clients, manufacturers and agents in meetings, conferences, and expositions to increase sales for our customers, interpreting between various stakeholders in Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese.
